...we took last weekend for R & R and Sunday thought we'd drop in on an antique auction in Quispamsis (not sure where all the unique names originate). Jim has never been to an auction before and though not an all-day, frenzied, outside-in-all-weather kind of farm auction it was a good stepping stone to the "real" thing. There was lots of stuff, mostly furniture (mixed with reproductions) and though the prices were good, it was more of a recon mission to establish what we thought should (and should NOT) go in the house. 'Jerome' (remember the decorator?) often rears his artistic head and tries to bully me (HA!) into particular and often peculiar design and furnishing styles! Needless to say we didn't buy anything, but did determine this is going to take a looooong time to find common ground!
And we did meet some dealers who gave us their name etc. in Hampton to drop in and see what they have on hand or coming in.
And after dinner a walk to see Misty and pick some lupins...
I left the wild iris for future transplanting! (But they grow in abundance in almost every ditch)
