A Heat Wave Hits the East Coast!....

...well, heat by east coast standards! 22 and the black flies are making my outdoor work miserable. All gardens are planted, most of the Ontario transplants survived (some I still have to identify)...27 peony plants alone are showing themselves...but everything is soooooo slow to come up and bloom! Tulips, daffs and lots of grass...even the village is ahead of us :(
Bijou is content to be outside all day monitoring her domain and stalking wild game...

under the flowering? crab apple tree...

with her treed prey!

But ...good news...a mirror! lights! towel bar!...all installed in the up bath, now my favourite place for a long candlelit soak at the end of the day. There was much "blue air" installing them,

...eat yer heart out Martha!

and the rain shower head ...gotta love it!

thus for the kitchen finishing....call Steve and Sean....

...back into the disarray...

...install discussion, and check with the "boss"... little to the right Sean...

...now waiting on grout and shelves....oooooh, I'm lovin' it!

Then all that is left is some trim paint and ta da! Too bad I have little time to be inside cooking, but come winter....

A visiting member of the Carten family from Toronto prompts the need for a get-together and a feed of lobster. Margaret opens her home to the best parties ....all in the kitchen of course (it's a Maritime thing!)

Jim, John and Kevin

Jim, Carmel, John, Margaret, Kevin and Kate (who really is the tallest?)

"can we eat now?...huh? can we?...huh, huh, can we ???"

...setting up to sit down...

...more pics to take...

"...are we going to eat soon...?"

John and Carmel are ready to tuck in...Carm! Lobster! not hen LOL

" is this one mine? can we eat now? can we?"

can a smile get any bigger!?

Great night Margaret...thanks!
